CIN Voice
Methodology, data sources, and editorial standards for our AI-generated daily market briefs
CIN Voice is the automated market-analysis system that authors Cannabis Investor News's daily cannabis-equity briefs. It synthesizes real-time market data, regulatory filings, and analyst coverage into structured editorial output — opening, midday, and closing briefs on every trading day, plus a daily global summary and weekly wrap. This page documents how it works.
What CIN Voice Is
CIN Voice is a large-language-model pipeline built on Anthropic's Claude family of models. It ingests structured market data, applies a proprietary cannabis-sector scoring framework, and produces editorial briefs in CIN's house voice. Briefs are generated automatically on a fixed cadence and published without per-article human review.
Cannabis Investor News is the responsible publisher. The methodology, scoring framework, prompt design, data sources, and quality standards documented on this page are the editorial product of the publisher and apply to every brief CIN Voice produces.
Data Sources
CIN Voice does not aggregate or rewrite third-party news headlines. Every brief is sourced from:
- Live exchange data via EOD Historical Data covering NASDAQ, NYSE, OTC, TSX, TSXV, CSE, ASX, LSE, TASE, Xetra, JSE, and SIX
- SEC EDGAR filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, Form 4 insider transactions, S-1/S-3 financings)
- SEDAR+ Canadian regulatory filings
- Aggregated analyst coverage, ratings, and price targets
- The 123-equity CIN coverage universe maintained by Cannabis Investor News
- CIN's proprietary Cannabis Market Health Index (CMHI), insider-flow data, and financing tracker
Cadence
CIN Voice produces briefs on the following schedule, all times U.S. Pacific:
- Open brief — 6:30 AM PT, ahead of the U.S. cash open
- Midday brief — 9:30 AM PT
- Close brief — 1:30 PM PT, after the U.S. cash close
- Daily global summary — 5:00 PM PT, covering all regions traded that day
- Weekly wrap — Friday 2:00 PM PT
- Regional briefs — generated per-region (US, Canada, Europe, APAC, Africa/Israel, LATAM) on the same daily cadence
Limitations & Disclosure
CIN Voice is editorial commentary on observable market data — not investment advice, a research recommendation, or a regulated analyst opinion. Briefs may include forward-looking interpretation; readers should treat all such language as commentary, not forecast.
CIN Voice does not have access to material non-public information. It does not place trades, hold positions, or receive compensation from any covered issuer. The 123-equity coverage universe is editorially curated by the publisher and may exclude relevant tickers or include tickers that change classification over time.
Briefs are generated without per-article human editorial review. CIN Voice may occasionally produce factual errors, stale data, or misinterpretations of filings. Corrections may be issued via republishing the affected brief; the canonical URL and structured-data dateModified field will reflect the update.
Editorial Standards
- Every quantitative claim must be supported by a primary source listed above
- No headline aggregation or third-party news rewriting
- No promotional language for individual issuers; coverage is sector-wide and editorially neutral
- Bull/bear framing must be supported by visible signal data (price action, filings, insider flow, analyst coverage)
- CMHI scores and editorial stance are produced by the same model framework applied consistently across the universe
